Job Purpose

The Senior Financial Analyst supports finance practices and objectives that drive a high-performance culture emphasizing empowerment, quality, productivity and standards, goal attainment and ethics. This position reports directly to the division Sr Manager, Finance and becomes part of a team that is chartered to help mature a rapidly growing business.   • Partner with program management, operations, contracts, engineering, and supply chain in performing thorough, consolidated financial analysis and reporting.
  • Apply business process acumen to improve standard practices.
  • Assist with monthly results, planning and forecasting management and controls; includes financial model development and maintenance, template creation and timeline management.
  • Support the business unit in the continuous advancement of analytical capabilities to support real time, management decision making.
  • Assume a leadership role in driving common global analytical and reporting methodologies including revenue and income variance analyses, business segment / product line profitability measures, operating expense analyses, return on invested capital and cash flow.
  • Own the preparation of certain monthly / quarterly / annual business presentations including forecasts, EAC's, business reviews, and other variance reporting
  • Assist in the development and coordination of the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and 5-year plan.
  • Execute special short / long-term projects that may fall outside of functional responsibilities.
  • Actively identify and participate in process improvement activities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or other suitable program that demonstrates a high level of analytical and reasoning ability.
  • 3-5 years of professional experience in an analytical role.
  • 3-5 years of aerospace or manufacturing experience.
  • Ability to form collaborative partnerships and influencing without formal authority. Demonstrated success with diverse teams in a dynamic multi-national environment is a differentiator.
  • Leverage expert excel abilities to gather information from various data sets, consolidate the information and transform it into meaningful insights.
  • Strong financial acumen with the ability to research and identify problems, develop solutions, conduct analysis independently and in collaboration with others.
  • Experience working with complex financials and models.
  • Strong critical thinking and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as a team member with minimal daily supervision.
  • SAP ERP experience preferred.
  • Power BI/Query experience is a plus.
  • Experience driving technical financial processes, building financial models and influencing business decisions is preferred.
  • Understanding of defense government compliance regulations is a plus.

Working Conditions

Office environment, duties performed indoors, moderate to quiet noise and comfortable temperatures. Not substantially exposed to adverse environmental condition levels. Ability to be available as business situations require. Travel may be required.

Physical requirements

Occasionally positions self to move an office item >10 lbs.

Frequently move about the office area to attend meetings or trainings

Frequently operates a computer, enters data into systems, verifies information, etc.
