Primary Responsibilities

In the role of Junior Estimator, we'll count on you to:

The Cost Engineer's primary duties are to support cost estimating and budgetary development activities on transportation projects. Responsibilities may include reviewing engineering plans and specifications to identify and quantify scope elements, estimating costs for various scope elements at level of detail appropriate for scope definition, analyzing uncertainty and risk factors associated with project cost estimates, applying cost escalation factors to develop future expected costs, organizing cost data to support benchmarking, parametric estimating, 5D estimating and other initiatives across the practice group.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

* BS in Engineering, Construction or related field, or equivalent experience in construction field

* Experience in engineering or construction field

* Good verbal and written communication skills

* An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must

Preferred Qualifications

* Experience with cost estimating software such as HCSS Heavybid a plus

* Experience with CAD tools such as Civil 3D, Revit or similar.

* Strong computer skills, particularly Microsoft Excel or other database software
