Position Overview:

The Onsite Mechanic is a Diesel Mechanic Technician who works under the direction of our Transportation Ops Manager in our Salt Lake unit and will be responsible for performing preventive maintenance services, inspects, diagnoses, and repairs vehicles, heavy duty trucks, hydraulic, scissor lift and equipment.

What You Will Be Doing:

* Follow all company procedures and ensure a safe work environment

* Responsible for performing all job duties with honesty and integrity

* Performs repairs and assigned preventive maintenance services on vehicles

* Performs inspection, diagnosis and repair of electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake on vehicles and equipment

* Welds and fabricates, as necessary

* Utilizes vehicle computer electronics systems to interpret failure modes to initiate or assign repairs

* Estimates time and material costs on vehicle repairs and requisitions new parts

* Performs all work within Standard Repair Times (SRTs)

* Performs service calls for emergency breakdowns

* Conducts safety checks on vehicles

* Completes required paperwork utilizing fleet maintenance software program associated with repairing vehicles, documenting parts usage, and accounting for repair times

* Reviews, completes or assigns repairs identified on Driver Vehicle Pre-Trip Inspection Reports

* Maintains a clean, safe work area in compliance with Corporate / OSHA Standards, and performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures

* Regular and timely attendance is expected for the position.

* Perform other duties as assigned.

* 3+ years of diesel mechanic experience

* Current Drivers License with a clean record

* Certification in mechanic or other related field
