Summary:

We have an exciting entry-level position for an HR Specialist to join the HR Shared Services Team. This position is an HR transactional position and will be responsible for HR back-office processes that are core to the HR function. We are looking for someone who has a passion for the HR function, improving people processes, driving business results, and providing outstanding customer service. The ideal candidate must be able to multitask, to operate in a high-volume work environment, and have a passion for Human Resources, systems, and processes.

Generally, this role is a Hybrid position working in the Vivint Provo and Lehi office locations. Adjustments in work location and ability to work remotely may be re-evaluated or adjusted.

Essential Job Functions:

  • HR Administrative Processes- provide employee support for HR administrative processes (New Hire Orientation, I-9/E-Verify, Background Checks, Drug Screens, State and Government Compliance Reporting, employee changes, and transactions).

  • Customer Service- provide front-line employee support by assisting employees with HR-related inquiries and questions. Primarily interacting with employees through our HR email ticket support portal system.

  • HRIS Administration- manage and review employee-related transactions performed in our HRIS system.

  • Collaboration- Recommend and perform data audits to ensure accurate and compliant records.Work with HR colleagues to solve problems and identify new opportunities to add value.

  • Project Initiatives- Lead and/or participate in projects related to the HR Operations team and/or the business. Recommend and perform data audits to ensure accurate and compliant records.

  • Process Improvement- identify, recommend, and implement process improvements for HR processes and systems. Challenge conventional thinking and processes which may have become outdated.Find a shorter path to the end goal.

Additional Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Broad and in-depth understanding of human resources policies and processes.

  • Ability to work independently and as a team member, strong teamwork and collaboration skills.

  • Ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment.

  • Customer service and continuous improvement mindset.

  • Ability to set priorities and to respond to changing demands from multiple sources on short notice.

  • Excellent organizational skills & attention to detail.

  • Strong attention to detail with a focus on data quality.

  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.

Required Education/Experience

  • A bachelor's degree with 1+ years of professional experience or equivalent years of experience in Human Resources without a degree.

  • *Human Resources or practical knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines, including HRIS, data management, employee relations, performance management or employment laws is a plus.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
