Zions Bank has just opened an opportunity for a Commercial Relationship Manager based in the Salt Lake City, UT area.

The role of a Commercial Relationship Manager is:

Commercial Relationship Managers are responsible for developing and managing all aspects of commercial client relationships within their defined market segment including the collaborative leadership of a relationship banking team to collectively provide solutions that create value for our clients, communities, and for Zions Bank.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Growing portfolio loans outstanding with a focus on new relationship development, existing client expansion, and effective delivery of credit related products and services.
  • Growing portfolio operating deposit balances including new relationship development, existing client relationship expansion, and effective partnership collaboration to provide a wide variety of applicable operational products and services.
  • Exercising sound understanding of market pricing dynamics and effective use of corporate profitability tools to appropriately structure relationship pricing for loan, deposit, and non-interest income products to maximize portfolio profitability and to effectively manage interest rate risk.
  • Maintaining cross-functional product knowledge and lead collaborative internal partnerships to facilitate a needs-based approach to selling a wide range of products and services aimed at increasing products per relationship and growing the relative share of Non-Interest Income.
  • Proactive, responsive management of client relationships, proficient communication skills, and strong industry knowledge, resulting in a high degree of client satisfaction.
  • Effective risk management including credit, operational, and reputational risks. Responsible for building a portfolio with high quality assets and maintaining credit quality as measured by trailing 24-month credit losses as well as monthly delinquency and criticized/classified asset measures.

Who should apply?

  • At least 2 years of proven experience in commercial lending.
  • Powerful relationship management and business development skills.
  • Advanced knowledge of credit and credit quality.
  • The ability to work with all levels of our credit risk and leadership teams effectively.
  • A strong sense of urgency and commitment to our loan growth goals.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, and Economics or a related subject or equivalent experience.
