Zions is seeking a Desktop Systems Engineer.

We are looking for a motivatedDesktop Systems Engineerto join our End User Computing team. In this exciting role, you will work collaboratively with system engineers, database administrators, security engineers, application owners to manage an existing Microsoft Configuration Manager infrastructure and Intune environment. This role provides the opportunity to interact with skilled individuals, gain additional skills and grow your career within the team and enterprise.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsibilities include operational stability, implementation, lifecycle management, vulnerability remediation, and administration for the Configuration Manager infrastructure and all Windows clients.
  • Utilize Configuration Manager and Intune to engineer, integrate, design, automate, and deploy various Windows components, including OS (Operating System) and application patches, scripts, and application packages.
  • Evaluate, improve, and maintain information security throughout the Windows client infrastructure.
  • Write and maintain custom scripts to increase system efficiency and reduce human intervention time on tasks.
  • Participate in the design of information and operational support systems.
  • Ensure technical documentation exists for all systems and is kept up to date.

Qualifications:

  • Problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively with other departments to resolve complex issues with innovative solutions.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or other related fields and 2+ years of programming, systems analysis or other directly related experience. A combination of education and experience may meet the qualifications.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work with customers, stakeholders, management, and staff employees.
  • Ability to prioritize work, carry out assignments, and complete tasks within deadlines with little supervision.

PreferredSkills:

  • 2+ years of extensive knowledge of Microsoft Intune.
  • Working knowledge of PowerShell and command line scripting.
  • Use native, add-on, third-party tools to troubleshoot malfunctions and optimizations. Tools include Resource Kits, Development Kits, and commercial tools.
  • Working knowledge of ServiceNow incident management tool.
  • Working knowledge of Azure DevOps for EUC roadmap management and strategic objectives.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Entra ID (formerly Azure Active Directory,) Office 365, and cyber security.
  • Working knowledge of Information Technology infrastructure components (firewall, database, operating system, network.)
  • Working knowledge of enterprise desktop and application virtualization platforms and management tools.
  • Extensive knowledge of Windows client Operating Systems, Active Directory, Group Policy.

Location:

This position has a hybrid work from home schedule with a minimum of three days per week in the office at the new Zions Technology Center in Midvale, UT.
