Zions Bancorporation has just opened an opportunity for a Compliance Officer within our Compliance Privacy team. If you are ready to move to your next career opportunity, this may be the one. The Compliance Officer Position will join our Compliance Privacy Team, specifically our Privacy Response Team. This position's main responsibility is to conduct Privacy investigations and manage their own Privacy investigation caseload involving potential breach of customer, consumer or employee information.

The position will be based in Salt Lake City, UT, or Houston, TX and is eligible to work from home Tuesdays and Fridays to align with the flexible department schedule (subject to periodic review).

Responsibilities:

  • Privacy Event/Investigation Management - Responsible for performing diverse
  • and complex analysis of privacy investigations with consideration of the
  • numerous federal and state breach laws.
  • Privacy Event Management - Managing a caseload to ensure accuracy of
  • documenting and tracking investigations and decisions.
  • Risk/Regulatory - Prepare and complete required forms (as needed) for
  • regulatory reporting.
  • Risk/Regulatory - Ensure investigations are completed accurately, timely and
  • meeting regulatory requirements.
  • Communication - Respond to privacy investigation inquiries. Follow up with
  • business lines and operations in resolving privacy investigation investigations.
  • Communication - Enlist assistance from other Privacy Breach Response Team
  • members (as needed). Communicate on all levels across the company.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualification:

  • Requires a bachelor's degree in business, finance, or a related field.
  • 2+ years working experience in banking/financial services regulatory compliance, auditing, risk management or other directly related experience.
  • A combination of education and experience may meet requirements.
  • Working knowledge of federal and state compliance privacy laws and regulations
  • Effective research, project management, organizational, analytical, and problem resolution skills required.
  • Must be results oriented and can work independently and meet deadlines and track multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills including the ability to work freely and comfortably with staff and management at all levels.
  • Proficient with Microsoft applications including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.
