The Senior Supply Chain Planner works to ensure timely delivery of high-quality products, making a significant impact on operational efficiency and customer satisfaction by ensuring the smooth and efficient flow of products throughout our supply chain. Demonstrating strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a deep understanding of supply chain management principles, the Supply Chain Planner is responsible for forecasting demand, managing inventory levels, and optimizing overall supply chain operations.


Monday-Friday
Hybrid position 2 days a week in office; 3 days remote

The Senior Supply Chain Planner demonstrates mastery and professional expertise of Supply Chain Planning, being a leader of major projects and initiatives. In addition to the functions listed below, the level Senior Supply Chain Planner is responsible for increased dollar limit for requisitions and PO approvals and is assigned to create, implement & maintain reporting tools, logs, or project plans as well as responsible for department expansion support and involvement with facilities and / or service lines. Additional responsibilities are the review, research and approval of departmental invoices, acting as the first level approver prior to management review and approval. The Senior Supply Chain Planner may also participate as a departmental stakeholder in committees or organizational initiatives. Reviews the Spend Audit - Line change variance report and follows up with requisitioners for additional documentation as needed. Acts as a subject matter expert and resource to others.

The Supply Chain Planners perform the following duties:

Demand Forecasting: Utilizes historical data, market trends, and customer inputs to accurately forecast product demand. Proposes and implements solutions to improve demand forecast accuracy. Collaborates with internal teams to gather information on new product launches, product conversions, and impending changes which may affect future demand.

Inventory Management: Monitors inventory levels and maintains optimal stock levels to minimize stockouts while minimizing carrying costs. Conducts regular inventory analysis to identify slow-moving or obsolete items and take appropriate action to minimize excess inventory. Establishes pre-buy strategies along with ramp-up / ramp-down plans for seasonal product lines.

Supply Chain Optimization: Performs in-depth analyses of and incorporates usage data for short- and long-term inventory planning. Supports management with risk assessments and mitigation activities such as scenario planning and capacity analysis.

Data Analysis and Reporting: Gathers, analyzes, and interprets supply chain data to identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement. Prepares regular reports on key performance indicators (KPIs) to track supply chain performance and provide insights to management.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborates closely with cross-functional teams, including strategic channel management, operations support, procurement, and field logistics, to align supply chain activities with business objectives. Participates in cross-functional meetings and contribute to decision-making processes related to supply chain planning and execution.

Minimum Qualifications

Demonstrated leadership, mastery and professional expertise in demand planning, supply chain planning, inventory management, logistics, data science and analytics.

Demonstrated experience and full proficiency using automated forecasting, demand planning, replenishment, and inventory optimization tools.

Advanced experience in using spreadsheets, R, Python and other data mining tools for analysis and reporting with abilities to effectively analyze and present the data to a group.

Professional Certification in Forecasting, Predictive Analytics or Supply Chain Management. (ex. Certified Professional Forecaster (CPF), Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP), Certified in Planning and Inventory Management (CPIM).

Demonstrated full proficiency in using supply chain management software and tools.

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and external suppliers.

Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

Master's degree in analytics, business management, data science, supply chain management.

Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.

Experience working in a large volume supply chain organization or healthcare supply chain procurement.

Knowledge of and experience in healthcare strategic demand planning.

Proven experience in using SQL, R, Python, or other programming languages.

Knowledge & understanding of artificial intelligence, big data, and machine learning.

The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.

$39.43 - $62.10
